Come join us for a night of trees, tales, and trails, in partnership with the Bob Brown Foundation and in the lead up to Takayna Trail. The night will celebrate two powerful new works: Takayna, the Heart of Lutruwita, a new film by Matt Newton, and Takayna, One of the Last Wild Places on Earth, a new book by Australian Geographic.
Special guests include Johnny Abegg as MC, freelance director, videographer, editor and environmentalist; Jenny Weber, long term Campaign Director for the Bob Brown Foundation; and Tom Milledge, trail runner and representative of Takayna Trail.
A conversation panel will follow the film; Jenny Weber will speak to the Bob Brown Foundation’s ongoing fight to protect our native forests, particularly the globally significant Takayna/Tarkine in northwestern Lutruwita/Tasmania. Tom Milledge will unpack the Takayna Trail event, boosting stoke for those participating this year and explaining how to get involved for 2026. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase, with all proceeds going to the Bob Brown Foundation.
Doors open at 6pm, refreshments provided.
